This is undoubtedly one of the most challenging eras. We've had to self-isolate, to stay quarantined, to be away from our loved ones and lose our everyday life pace. Dancing was amongst the things that were taken away from us, so keeping distance from our true passion, is something quite difficult.
Truth is, that living almost a year through this pandemic, we've come to realize that most likely things will never go back the way they were before. Our only hope then is to make the most out of our new reality and try to normalize it.
We are never going to stop dancing. That is why, when the idea of "open-air milongas" came up, we were ecstatically thrilled. You won't find us crying or secretly dancing in dance schools anymore. We'll grab our fancy suits, our lovely partners and definitely our face masks and we'll sweep through every park, every square, and every place we can feel like we're on the dancefloor again. Having fun and keeping ourselves sane has become such a priority for us dancers, and that's what we're going to do. We're going to keep on dancing, following all the instructed precautions, of course.
P.S. If you want to join us, don't be afraid of chilly days. The cold never bothered us anyway! Our long-sleeve dresses and long-sleeve tops are perfectly suitable for outdoor dancing.
